Every day I can feel my dying yeast enemies craving sugar! They are very persuasive too! Luckily for me there are other sweet things out there that the yeast won’t thrive off of. This article from diet.net.nz covers all sweets from the good to the bad.
The good sweeteners that they list as Candida Diet friendly are stevia and vegetable glycerine. They also discuss diastatic malt and fresh fruit. I personally wouldn’t recommend eating fresh fruit within the first two weeks of beginning the Candida diet… Continue Reading »

I found a new Candida Diet! The foods are broken up into three categories: Foods you can eat freely, foods you can eat cautiously, and foods you must avoid. If you are looking for a simple and effective Candida Diet, this is for you. Continue Reading »

Caprylic acid (octanoic acid) is highly effective in treating Candida. Naturally found in coconuts and breast milk, caprylic acid is regarded among nutritionists as being one of the most effective treatments of Candida. Caprylic acid is a very small molecule which can easily penetrate the membranes of Candida yeast.
Caprylic acid is on my Candida anti fungal list.

Acidophilus (specifically Lactobacillus acidophilus) is a probiotic, a friendly bacteria, which naturally inhabits the digestive tract. This bacteria is important to us humans because it fights unfriendly bacteria on several fronts. Acidophilus loves to eat nutrients that would otherwise feed bad bacteria. So acidophilus kills bad bacteria (and yeast) by taking away its food supply. Acidophilus also produces hydrogen peroxide and lactic acid, making the environment unlivable for unhealthy organisms.
This is why antibiotics are bad for the body. Antibiotics kill acidophilus, leaving the bad organisms and yeast to grow and multiply unchecked.
I had a fun photo shoot with all of my supplements yesterday
This photo is of a bottle of Acidophilus with Pectin.
The back of the label says: “Acidophilus with Pectin provides 2.4 billion live colony forming units per two (2) capsules at time of encapsulation. The MAKTrekBT bypass delivery method is a proven In Vitro delivery system that protects Acidophilus from destruction by stomach acid. This delivery system provides up to 50 times greater levels of beneficial bacteria to the small and large intestines than often probiotic enteric coated products.” While at the nutrition store I noticed that there are acidophilus supplements that recommend refrigeration and others that do not, the first containing much more live organisms.
Pectin (citrus pectin) is a soluble dietary fiber which is found in most plants and fruits and helps bind the plant cells together. The pectin feeds the acidophilus bacteria, increasing the potency of the acidophilus supplement.
Acidophilus bacteria is an anti fungal key ingredient in the Candida treatment and the healthy body.

My Candida treatment has officially begun! Only discipline and time will tell if curing Candida is my solution to curing my rheumatoid arthritis. One step at a time though. This morning (like every morning to come) I took some acidophilus, caprylic acid, and grape seed extract. Strangely I’m actually looking forward to the the “die-off.” I want to see, know, and feel this stuff working!
Have a wonderful day ![]()

If you want to rid your body of Candida, you should be thinking about buying some anti-fungals. Most times when one begins anti-fungal treatment, they feel worse, sometimes much worse, before feeling any better. This is caused by what is known as the “die off.” When a yeast cell dies, it explodes, releasing its poisons into one’s body all at once. Your “die off” intensity depends on the strength of your anti-fungal and the amount you take into your body. The bad effects should only last three or four days after starting anti fungals. Once you pass this hump, celebrate! And know that there is no turning back… Continue Reading »

Before you begin the candida diet, take a look at the Candida Symptoms page and write down which symptoms you currently are experiencing. That way, you have a reference point to help you judge if the diet is working.
Once you begin to feel better (give it at least six weeks), you can slowly add foods that are on the avoid list. Continue Reading »
